Make These: Little Library Card Notebooks
Today, I have a super cute guest post/ tutorial to share from Caitlin of the blog Packagery. Caitlin besides runs an adorable packaging supply shop past the same proper name; and she created this fun diy with but a handful of materials. Its a mini library menu notepad tutorial. These notebooks are perfect for jotting down curt niggling notes or lists. And is a neat style to recycle some of those paper scraps you may accept lying effectually. So, permit'due south become to it. Here's Caitlin's project…
Materials: one. a stapler (make sure it has staples) 2. bit newspaper (graph paper, handwriting paper, etc.) iii. cardstock (library cards, index cards, old postcards, etc.) 4. paper trimmer (or pair of scissors, x-acto knife, etc.) 5. os folder (or a spoon) optional extras: vi. embellishments such as stamps, stickers, labels 7. corner rounder
Stride past Step Instructions: 1. Trim your paper the same size equally your carte. I used a 3″³ ten 5″³ menu, with half-dozen sheets of scrap newspaper cutting downwards to 3″³ ten 5″³. This volition give you lot 12 sheets/24 pages per notebook. Y'all tin as well tear your paper downwards to size, for a different wait. To do this, lay a ruler on top of your sheets and tear along the edge of the ruler.
2. Fold newspaper in half and crease with a bone folder. Practise the same to your card. Place the folded newspaper inside the folded card, and crease again.
3. Brand certain everything is lined up and folded nicely. Then advisedly unfold your notebook and staple once or twice along the exterior folded edge.
iv. Done! Y'all can round the corners of your notebook for a neater look, or add together some cute stamped images.
*If youre looking for library cards, you tin can notice them for sale in my store here.
Tips: To make your notebooks flatter, stick them under a pile of heavy books for a day or two. Where the heck do you get a corner rounder? I got mine here from amazon. Its a Zutter Circular-It-All and its a pretty bang-up tool. You deceit trim a ton of paper at once like you tin can with a (very expensive) commercial rounder, only it handles these notebooks just fine.
